Haddonfield residents and visitors alike will have a chance to vote for the next animal to be installed in the world’s only Children’s Sculpture Zoo on Saturday, October 8, during the town’s Fall Festival. Vote early and often at $1 per vote, for a life-size bronze sculpture of a either a Wild Baby Bengal Tiger, a Wild Baby Giant Tortoise, or a Wild Baby Orangutan.
HOST will have two voting locations during the Fall Festival, from 10am until 3pm. One will be located in front of the Happy Hippo toy store on the corner of Kings Highway and Haddon Avenue, and the other a few blocks east in front of the Children’s Sculpture Zoo, on the corner of Kings Highway and Evergreen Lane. Monies raised will help fund the sculptures which cost about $20,000 each. HOST board members will also be on hand to give out small toys to visitors including stickers, zoo eyeglasses and baby jungle animals, and answer questions. There is no age limit on voters, no limit on the number of votes anyone can buy, nor is any ID required!
