Frequently the South Jersey Brigade mustered in Haddonfield with the local militiamen before marching to serve in North Jersey or Pennsylvania.
HOST invited sculptor, Brian Hanlon to visit Haddonfield. He fell in love with our history. His enthusiasm translated into the “Haddonfield Militiaman”. HOST is grateful to Brian Hanlon for working with us and to the members of our community who contributed to making HOST’s first commissioned sculpture made specifically for our town a reality.
Brian Hanlon is a classically trained master sculptor and founder of Hanlon Sculpture Studio. With over 550 public and private art pieces since 1986, Hanlon is a world-renowned artist from Toms River, New Jersey specializing in bronze statues. He has received national awards and commendations for his liturgical, civic, and athletic sculptures.
