HOST ArtWalk – New Exhibit on Mechanic Street!

New Exhibit on Mechanic Street

“The Art of Cartography”

The Haddonfield Outdoor Sculpture Trust (HOST) invites you to experience a new ArtWalk exhibit on Mechanic Street: “The Art of Cartography: Mapping Haddonfield’s Early Story.”

Known for bringing public art into the heart of downtown Haddonfield, HOST continues its mission of creating engaging outdoor experiences that connect art, history, and community. This special exhibit, presented as part of the U.S. Semiquincentennial, uses historic maps to tell the story of Haddonfield’s earliest development and its place in the Revolutionary era.

The collection was researched, sourced, and assembled by dedicated HOST volunteer Joe Sikora. Through these carefully selected maps, visitors can explore how the region evolved from its early settlement roots into an important Quaker community and commercial hub.

Located along Mechanic Street, the exhibit offers a meaningful way to enjoy Haddonfield’s walkable downtown while discovering the history beneath its familiar streets. Take a stroll, view the maps, and see how art, geography, and history come together through HOST’s latest public installation.

HOST’s outdoor art initiative helps bring rotating contemporary sculpture and public art experiences to downtown Haddonfield, making the community a destination for accessible outdoor art.
